 Mount Hope Beliefs

Mount Hope is affiliated with The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. We believe and teach that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. This faith is a gift of God through the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is the true and inerrant Word of God. We practice two Sacra- ments, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Through Baptism, God makes us His own children, called to witness His love and serve Him. Through the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, we receive the assurance of sins forgiven, life and salvation.

The Lord's Supper

Here at Mount Hope the Lord’s Supper is joyously celebrated in the confidence of receiving from the Lord of the Church all He promises when He gives us His very body and blood in, with, and under the bread and wine. With such a celebration goes the pastoral concern that each worshiper examine himself before partaking of the Lord’s Supper. Those who are baptized, truly repent of their sins, believe in Jesus as their Savior, confess His real presence in the Sacrament, and are in peace and communion with His Holy Church, are invited to celebrate the grace of God and commune. The Lord’s Supper is celebrated on the first, third and fifth weeks of each month.

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to make disciples by sharing God's Word through worship, life-long Christian education, witnessing, and prayer, nurturing each in a living and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
