Mt. Hope's VBS
"Fabulous Feet"
For children Ages 3-Grade 5 Cost: FREE

We'll start with a simple dinner at 5:30 pm with kid-friendly food. At 6:00 our evening VBS kicks off with an entertaining Bible Drama and lively songs. Bible crafts, games and tasty treats are just a few of the activities that will follow. Each night we will have a special options for parents. On Monday and Wednesday, we will have a guest speaker discussing the topic: Discipline. Tuesday night, parents will have the option of participating with your child playing games, learning and making a craft together. We'll close from 7:40-8:00 pm with music, skits and fun.
On Thursday, August 5 we will close our week with a Community Festival where you can enjoy a free hotdog, listen to the DJ, games for the kids and a castle-jump. The VBS kids will perform at a short program to entertain us with the songs they've learned over the week. See you in August!

Sr. High Nat'l Youth Gathering in New Orleans
On July 15th, seven of Mt. Hope's Sr. High Youth will embark on a life-changing experience as they travel to New Orleans. Each day of the Youth Gathering will be packed with highenergy, fun, and exciting events that will help our youth grow in their faith and learn about the life that god is calling them to live. Have a great time kids!
Sr. High Wednesday Night "Chill" - Changing Hearts Into (Loyal, Loving Lutheran) Leaders
Wednesday Night Chill is a place for high schoolers to get to know other brothers and sisters in Christ and grow together in our faith and our friendships.
Our group is committed to having fun and growing in our faith and connecting with other teens and other metro youth groups. All highschoolers are welcome to join us on Wednesday nights from 6-8 pm. You can find us on Facebook at The Wednesday Night Chill.
We will be taking a break during Lent (Feb. 17-April 7) but you are invited to come to Wednesday night Lenten Services at 6:30 pm. Dinner is served at 5:30 pm.
Sassy and Spirit Filled Girls Group
Sr. High girls group meets every Wednesday at 10:00 am in the summer at Caribou at the corner of France Ave and Old Shakopee Rd. Come and join us over coffee.
Youth Jam
The youth are invited to sing and create music at 11:00 every Sunday. Youth Jam is led by our Praise Director, Christina Brantner.

Our Prayer Group is a small group of prayer warriors who meet once a week at Mount Hope. Currently meeting at 9 AM on Wednesday. The purpose of this group is to pray for all prayer requests that are on the prayer chain plus those prayers that people want to keep private. All requests are handled with complete confidentiality. New members are always welcome.
Our Telephone Prayer Chain is comprised of people who have volunteered to pray for all requests given to them. There are two morning chains and one evening chain. We also have an Emergency Prayer Chain that is available any time day or night.
Our Email Prayer Chain is available to anyone with a computer. For this chain, requests go to Marilyn at conradmarilyn@usfamily.net.

Adult Sunday Bible Studies-Sundays at 9:30
There are two adult Bible study opportunities each Sunday. Join us in the Fellowship room where Pastor Ritter leads the study. Another Bible study meets in the Adult Education room.
Adult Weekday Bible Study
Ladies Bible Study -- The women are presently using the book, Finding Joy. They meet twice a month on Thursday evenings from September through May from 7 - 9 p.m. (In the months of November and December they only meet one Thursday of the month). All the women of Mt. Hope and in the community are invited to to join for an informal study and F-F-F (Food, Fellowship and Fun)! Please call Dianne Ritter with any questions at 952-426-0273.
Thursday Morning Bible Study -- This group of men and women meet on Thursday mornings from 10 - 11 a.m. at the church. The group is presently studying the Truth Project. All men and women of Mt. Hope and in the community are invited to join this study.
Men's Bible Study Breakfast Group -- This is a new men's Bible study that will be meeting at 8 a.m. on the third Saturday morning of each month at the senior housing project at Edinborough in Edina. Presently, the men are studying, Being Gods Man by Pursuing Friendships. All men of Mt. Hope and in the community are invited to come to this Bible study.

Women of Hope (LWML) meet the second Tuesday of the month in the fellowship room (September- June). Each evening begins with a Bible devotion and a speaker with a special topic, followed by dessert. A monthly business meeting follows.
The Fall Women’s Retreat is an opportunity for women and young girls to come together for fellowship, singing, Bible study, tasty food, relaxation, and laughter. The day is spent at the Mt. Olivet Retreat Center, a beautiful setting, in rural Farmington.
The Harvest Boutique is the Women of Hope's premier fundraiser for outreach projects. Many assist by preparing crafts, baking goodies, donating books, and much more.
The Valentines Tea is a special Saturday-morning gathering in February offering entertainment, sharing and, of course, tea with refreshments!
